It all started when…

the Aztecs delivered the OG corn tortilla to the world in 10,000 BC. This was done through a painstaking process, known as nixtamalization, which describes how corn is transformed by partially cooking and soaking it in lime powder (plus a few other Aztec secrets).

From generation to generation, and family to family, the process of nixtamal has been passed down. Food is something that has always been a really important part of our lives, and we can’t wait to share our culture and hospitality with you at Nixta.

So, what can you expect from us?

— A bit of history and learning. We’re going to pull back the curtains to show and educate our community about why corn is so magical.

— Bomb. Ass. Corn. Tortillas. And tacos. And tostadas. And aguas frescas. And paletas.

— Regular-ass people (i.e. Edgar + Sara) who genuinely give a lot of fuqs about your food, the vibe, the music, the bathroom, the lighting and your experience. We’re all gonna have a great time.

Neta, guey.
